Summerfest

Summerfest is held annually on Father's Day in downtown Tamaqua.

Presented by the Tamaqua Historical Society.

Featuring 3 scenic train rides on the Reading and Northern Railroad, 90 minute bus tours of Lehigh Anthracite mining operations in Tamaqua and Coaldale, car show by Jukebox Cruisers Car Club, large street and craft fair downtown, lots of great food vendors, Tamaqua Area Historical Museum open house, working Blacksmith at the 1848 Hegarty Blacksmith Shop, Leibys Carriage Service horse-drawn trolley car rides, kiddie amusement rides and games, Buster the Clown, costumed reenactors, the Faculty Brass Band, folk musician Jay Smar, WMGH live broadcast of the Polka Program with Polka Joe Manjack, Lehigh & New England Railroad special exhibit open house, Tamaqua Anthracite Model Railroad Open House, many homemade and ethnic food stands, shopping at Tinks Antiques, Stokers and Revere Craft Breweries open, downtown restaurants open for indoor dining on Father's Day, and more!!
